This past Saturday I covered the LIU Post first football game of the season against East Stroudsburg. The game included an emotional pre game ceremony that dedicated their new field and stadium to Durrell "Bronko" Pearsall '92, a former star football player for LIU Post and member of FDNY Rescue 4, as well as the Hempstead Fire Department, who perished in the line of duty on Sept. 11, 2001. Unfortunately LIU Post lost after a lengthy lightning delay took the momentum away from the Pioneers. Here are some shots from the game.
