Capitol Reef National Park and Antelope State Park

A couple of weeks ago I made my first trip to Utah, which is home to 5 National Parks and some of the most amazing and diverse scenery (and weather) in the country. My destination was Capitol Reef National Park. Though I was hoping for warm weather, beautiful sunsets and clear night skies, that only came to fruition for 1 day. The rest of the trip was filled with heavy rains, wind and even heavy snow at times, which is atypical for this region this time of year. That strange weather actually caused makeshift waterfalls to form over the rock formations which is a rare sighting in Capitol Reef. Special thanks to Matt Hill, Gaberiel Biderman and Chris Nicolson for meeting up one night along their road trip to shoot the night skies.

After the challenging weather conditions I went to Antelope State Park in Salt Lake City. The following are some photos of the Bison, which are abundant at this park.

2016 DICKS High School National Tournament

For the third straight year I was the tournament photographer for the DICKS High School National Tournament. 10 games over the course of 3 days provides ample opportunities to make some pretty cool images. This year I decided to setup 3 remote cameras. This was only possible with help from Nikon and the Nikon Professional Services team. The extra gear allowed me to capture images from some unique angles I wouldn't normally be able to set up cameras from. Here are some of my favorites from this years tournament.
